Davidson Optometrist & Proprietor
Brian began his optics career in 1982, and
established the practice in its present form in 1992 when he took over
from previous owner Isobel Brown. Outside of the practice, Brian's kept
busy with his family and enjoys cycling and playing tennis.
Craig Davidson Manager
addition to managing the practice, Craig is involved in dispensing and
problem solving, and is currently training to become a dispensing
optician. Outside of work, Craig enjoys keeping
fit and going to the gym.
Jackie Davidson Optical Assistant
is responsible for our frame buying, and helps our patients choose
the most appropriate styles for them. Her main interests are
looking after the family. Originally from Luxembourg, she can speak
fluent French and German in addition to English and her native
Jane Cargill Optical
Jane handles reception,
initial examination duties. Outside of work, she's kept busy with her two young children.
Bryan MacIntosh Optical
Bryan's main role is to make up your glasses, and to assist
dispensing, initial examinations and problem solving. He's been in
optics for over 25 years. Outside of work, his main hobbies are
listening to music and
playing keyboards & guitar.
The team is supplemented by Catriona Hastie
who usually works with us every Tuesday and when Brian is on holiday.
An experienced optometrist, she holds additional qualifications which
allow her to prescribe certain prescription-only medicines for minor
conditions affecting the eye. This avoids the need for a separate GP appointment.
