Bespoke eyewear

If you're strugging to find a frame that fits you, or if you have a clear idea of what you want but can't find what you're looking for, our bespoke service may be of interest to you. Basically there are two avenues you can explore.

Your first option is a custom build from British designer Tom Davies. Established in 2002, Tom’s creations have gained him fans all over the world. Celebrities who have worn TD glasses include Ed Sheeran, Heston Blumenthal and Angelina Jolie.

Tom Davies Limited Edition frames include unusual materials such as natural buffalo horn, titanium and premium cotton acetate.

The dispensing process starts with a fairly lengthy initial consultation where we'll ascertain your requirements. We have a 'fitting set' in the practice to demonstrate possible shapes, colours, bridge fits and side designs, and we'll guide you in choosing the right combination.

Once the design brief is established, a series of detailed measurements will be taken, then we'll then take some photographs of you to send to the manufacturer. A few days later they will email us back a detailed blueprint and some computer-generated images of you wearing your new frames.

Alterations and tweaks can then be made if necessary. Once you're happy with your creation, the plans will be sent for manufacture. This is done entirely by hand.

Your second option is a rimless frame from Austrian manufacturer, Silhouette. Because there is no rim, we can cut any shape that you wish. If you like the shape of your existing glasses, we can make a straight copy. If you like the shape of another frame on display, we can use that instead. If you like a particular shape but need it a bit smaller, larger, or even just altered slightly, we can do that too!
